Kokomo, IN (July 21, 2026) – An injury hit-and-run crash was reported on Monday evening near the north split of U.S. 31 at Exit 167 in Kokomo. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:15 p.m. on July 20.
Initial reports indicated the incident was upgraded from a traffic accident to an injury crash after responders arrived. Authorities said the driver responsible fled the scene.
According to dispatch information, the suspect vehicle was described as a red 2004 Ford F-150 with extensive front-end damage. The pickup was last seen traveling northbound, and investigators obtained the vehicle’s license plate number.
