JAMAICA PLAIN, Suffolk County, Mass., Oct. 19, 2026 — Two people were pulled from a car on Monday afternoon, October 19, after it went airborne and became wedged into a home in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Boston police said the car ended up lodged between an elevated parking lot and the exterior wall of a house on Glen Road.
The car came to rest about 10 feet above the ground, caught between the parking deck and the home. Video from the scene showed heavy damage to the roof of the car and to the home's windows, with the vehicle wedged tightly against the structure.
Several neighbors reported hearing a loud bang before finding the car lodged in the house. Witnesses described the vehicle tearing through a fence and crossing the parking lot before striking the home.
Boston fire officials said both occupants of the car suffered only minor injuries. No one inside the home was hurt. Crews removed the vehicle from the house shortly after the crash.
The police are still investigating what caused the crash but said speed may have been a factor. A deputy chief said investigators believe the driver's foot may have become caught on the accelerator. The investigation remains active.
We hope those who were hurt recover fully and quickly.

What to Do After a Car Crash in Jamaica Plain, MA
Anyone involved in a crash that ends with a vehicle striking a structure should first check themselves and others for injuries before moving, if possible. Call 911 even if injuries seem minor, since some symptoms appear later. Cooperate with police and fire crews as they assess the vehicle, the building, and anyone trapped inside. Take photos of the scene if it's safe to do so, and get contact information from any witnesses nearby. Once clear of the scene, a prompt medical evaluation is worthwhile even for people who feel fine, since adrenaline can mask pain from a jolt or impact.
