Jasper, MO (January 2, 2026) – A violent early morning crash in the heart of Joplin sent three people to the hospital after two Chevrolet Tahoes collided on Illinois Ave just after 1:25 a.m. on January 1.
Authorities say the eastbound 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 24-year-old male, struck the side of a second Tahoe heading south. The impact sent the second SUV into a utility pole. Both vehicles sustained catastrophic damage and had to be removed from the scene by Comers Wrecker.
