Jefferson, MO (January 19, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Saturday evening on westbound MO-30 at Silver Ln left one woman hospitalized with moderate injuries and resulted in major damage to both vehicles involved.
The incident took place around 6:14 p.m. on January 17 in Jefferson County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 62-year-old woman from High Ridge, driving a 2011 Dodge Charger, attempted to cross westbound MO-30 from Silver Ln to make a left turn onto the eastbound side. As she entered traffic, her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado that was heading west in the right lane.
Big River Ambulance District transported the woman to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of moderate injuries. She was reportedly wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver of the Silverado, a 52-year-old man from Cedar Hill, was not reported as injured. He was also properly restrained.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene by Northwest Towing. The Charger was listed as totaled, while the Silverado sustained extensive damage.
The scene was managed by CPL D. A. Norton and assisted by TPR D. Howell. The cause of the accident remains under investigation as troopers continue to assess the contributing factors.
