Jefferson Township, MI (January 10, 2026) – Three people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash that ended with one vehicle striking a home in Jefferson Township. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on January 9 at the intersection of M60 and Daily Rd, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that a vehicle traveling west on M60, driven by a 65-year-old woman, was struck by another vehicle that had stopped at the stop sign on Daily Rd but then failed to yield the right of way. The impact forced the woman’s vehicle off the roadway and into a nearby residence.
Injuries were sustained by all three occupants of the westbound vehicle, including the 65-year-old driver, a 66-year-old passenger, and a 13-year-old. All were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, none of the four occupants in the second vehicle reported any injuries at the scene.
The home that was struck sustained some damage, though no residents were reported injured. The crash remains under investigation, and authorities are reviewing contributing factors such as failure to yield and potential roadway visibility conditions.
We extend our thoughts to the injured and wish them a full and safe recovery.
