JEFFERSONVILLE, Twiggs County, Ga., Sept. 19, 2026 — An 18-wheeler rolled over along I-16 in Twiggs County on Friday afternoon, September 18, trapping the driver inside the truck. The crash was reported near mile marker 26.
The Twiggs County Sheriff's Office said the rollover happened around 1 p.m. Deputies said the driver suffered minor injuries and had to be extricated from the wreck.
First responders remained on scene working the crash as of Friday afternoon, the sheriff's office said. Officials asked drivers to seek alternate routes while crews cleared the interstate.
