Johnson, MO (January 26, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route D and MO-23 resulted in injuries on Sunday afternoon, disrupting traffic in Johnson County and prompting a medical response.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. when a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 60-year-old woman from Knob Noster, slid into the intersection and struck the side of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles were traveling in opposing directions at the time, eastbound and northbound, respectively.
The impact caused extensive damage to the Blazer and minor damage to the Silverado. Emergency crews arrived quickly, and the 64-year-old male driver of the Silverado, also from Knob Noster, sustained injuries. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
Both individuals were wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash. Tow services removed the damaged vehicles from the scene, which caused temporary disruptions to traffic at the rural intersection.
