Knoxville, TN (January 9, 2026) – Emergency responders from Knoxville Fire and Rescue were dispatched early on Thursday morning following a motor vehicle crash that resulted in injuries near Rutledge Pike and Timothy Avenue, close to the westbound I‑40 entrance ramp.
Medics and fire crews worked swiftly to assist individuals suffering from injuries at the scene. The incident was first reported just after 12:00 a.m. and involved at least one vehicle. Due to the severity of the crash, communication was coordinated through TAC channel six to support rapid response efforts.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Timothy Ave and Rutledge Pike, in proximity to a major highway interchange known for heavy overnight traffic. Specific details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the exact cause of the crash have not yet been released by authorities.
