Knoxville, TN (January 22, 2026) – Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving injuries Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Surrey Rd and Bethel Ave, near Roosevelt Ave in Knoxville.
Medics and fire crews worked to assist individuals suffering from a variety of injuries following the crash, which occurred around 4:20 p.m. on January 21. Dispatch audio referenced emergency units operating on TAC channel five and identified the involvement of a fire unit from the area. The scene remained active as Knoxville Fire and Rescue personnel coordinated medical care and ensured the area was safe for traffic and bystanders.
The collision took place near a high-traffic corridor in the 37915 ZIP code, affecting both directions of travel along Surrey Rd and causing delays in the surrounding neighborhood near Roosevelt Ave. At this time, officials have not disclosed how many vehicles were involved or the total number of people injured.
