Butte Co., CA (August 31, 2026) – A late-night two-vehicle crash caused major injuries early on Saturday, August 29, on State Route 99 at West Rio Bonito Road.
California Highway Patrol dispatch records show the collision was reported shortly after 12:15 a.m. Two vehicles were involved, although descriptions of the vehicles were not immediately available.
The incident log indicated that one of the vehicles had reportedly been traveling at high speed before the crash. At approximately 1:14 a.m., CHP upgraded the incident classification to a traffic collision involving major injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and towing services were requested.
