Lenox Twp, OH (January 13, 2026) – A serious head-on collision involving two vehicles left four people injured, including two children, on Monday afternoon along Route 46 near milepost 11 in Lenox Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:53 p.m. when one of the vehicles reportedly crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles and triggered a major emergency response involving ground and air transport.
Among those injured were two children riding in the rear passenger seats of one vehicle. One child sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital for emergency care. The second child was transported by ambulance to UH Geauga Medical Center with serious injuries.
Additionally, one of the drivers was flown to UH Cleveland by medical helicopter, while the other was taken by South Central Ambulance District to UH Geauga for treatment. The extent of the drivers’ injuries has not yet been fully disclosed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and have not released the identities of those involved.
