Lincoln Co, MO (January 29, 2026) – A rear-end accident involving two westbound vehicles on MO-47 east of MO-H resulted in injuries to one driver on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at approximately 3:40 p.m. when a 2025 Buick Enclave, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Warrenton, failed to slow for traffic ahead and collided with the rear of a 2015 Ford Taurus. The Taurus, operated by a 56-year-old male from Troy, had been reducing speed for congestion in the area when the impact occurred.
Troopers noted that the Buick suffered total damage and was towed from the scene by Priority One Towing, while the Taurus sustained moderate damage and was also removed by the same towing service. The driver of the Buick was reportedly inattentive at the time of the incident.
The 43-year-old woman sustained injuries and was transported by Lincoln County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis for further evaluation. The driver of the Taurus did not report any injuries at the scene.
Authorities remained on-site to clear the roadway and complete their preliminary investigation. No further details have been released regarding citations or charges.
We extend our thoughts to the injured driver and wish her a smooth and full recovery.
