Lincolnwood, IL (January 6, 2026) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning while crossing Touhy Ave in the north suburban community of Lincolnwood. The incident occurred at approximately 6:34 a.m. as the individual attempted to cross the roadway when they were hit by a westbound vehicle.
First responders from Lincolnwood arrived quickly and began lifesaving measures at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston for emergency care, but despite medical efforts, the victim’s injuries proved fatal. The identity of the pedestrian was being withheld later in the day as authorities worked to notify family members.
