Little Rock, AR (January 9, 2026) – Emergency crews in Little Rock were dispatched Thursday afternoon to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of S State St and W 7th St in the downtown area. The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. and involved a gray Nissan and a red Jeep Compass.
Engine 8 arrived promptly to find one of the drivers, reportedly in the gray Nissan, unable to open their door following the crash. First responders assessed the scene and worked to assist those injured. Medics provided care to individuals who sustained a variety of injuries as a result of the impact.
The crash occurred in a busy part of downtown Little Rock during peak traffic hours, prompting concerns about congestion in the area. Emergency teams remained on site to secure the vehicles, aid those involved, and coordinate with police for further investigation.
