Why Intersections Like U.S. 91 and 1000 West Can Be the Site of Serious Crashes
Intersections are common locations for injury accidents because several lanes of traffic cross at the same point. Drivers often have to react quickly to traffic lights, turning vehicles, and changing traffic patterns over short distances.
Crashes at intersections frequently involve side-impact collisions, which can cause injuries even at moderate speeds. Passengers in larger vehicles and smaller sedans may experience different levels of force depending on the angle of impact and vehicle size.
Traffic signal violations are also regularly reviewed after these incidents. In many cases, roadway markings, visibility, weather conditions, and vehicle positions can help provide a clearer picture of how a collision occurred. Medical evaluations may also continue after the crash as symptoms become more noticeable over time.
