Long Beach, CA (January 26, 2026) – A man in his fifties sustained a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near Pacific Ave and E 4th St on January 25. Emergency dispatch recordings indicated that the collision occurred between E 3rd and E 4th St, prompting a rapid response from local law enforcement and medical crews.
Responders arriving at the scene located the bicyclist down on the east side of Pacific Ave, just south of E 4th St. Officials stated the man was not conscious but was breathing when first located. He was also bleeding from the head, and emergency services initiated care while preparing him for transport to a nearby hospital.
