Tulare, CA (June 17, 2026) – A major injury crash involving multiple vehicles and a semi-truck caused significant traffic delays Wednesday morning on northbound State Route 99 in Tulare.
According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the collision was reported shortly after 5:20 a.m. near the Bardsley Avenue off-ramp. Initial reports indicated that as many as five vehicles were involved, including a white big rig with a box trailer, a black Infiniti JX35, a gray Chevrolet Astro van, and other vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived to find multiple damaged vehicles along the right side of the highway. Authorities later determined the crash involved three vehicles, including a semi-truck. The incident was eventually upgraded to a major injury collision as crews worked to assist those involved and secure the scene.
Several lanes were closed for hours while emergency personnel conducted their investigation and tow operators removed the damaged vehicles. Traffic backed up for miles, prompting lane closures, ramp restrictions, and traffic-control measures in the area. All lanes were reopened shortly after 8 a.m.
