Sacramento, CA (June 7, 2026) – A major traffic collision involving multiple vehicles was reported on Sunday afternoon, June 7, at the intersection of El Camino Avenue and Mission Avenue in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol logs said the wreck was first reported around 1:03 p.m. Initial information indicated a black BMW sedan collided with a tan Ford Explorer. Dispatch updates later stated that as many as three vehicles were involved, including a gray Ford SUV and a black SUV. One vehicle overturned onto its passenger side during the chain-reaction crash. Another tan vehicle was seen resting on its side in the intersection. Emergency units arriving at the roadway found at least one person outside of a vehicle and possibly unconscious.
Traffic disruptions were reported as crews worked to clear the intersection. Tow trucks were requested for at least two damaged vehicles. Additional details about those involved and the extent of injuries had not been released at the time of publication.
