Phoenix, AZ (August 31, 2026) – A 22-year-old man died Saturday afternoon, August 29, following a three-vehicle crash near Glendale Avenue and 35th Avenue in Phoenix. Officers responded to the collision at approximately 5:00 p.m.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the crash involved a BMW sedan, a Toyota Camry, and a Kia sedan. Preliminary information indicated that the BMW was traveling west on Glendale Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with the Toyota as the Toyota exited a private drive.
The impact caused the Toyota to spin into the eastbound lanes, where it collided with the Kia. The BMW driver was taken to a local hospital and later died.
An adult woman and two children riding in the Toyota did not suffer serious injuries. The Kia driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said neither surviving driver showed signs of impairment.
The crash remains under investigation. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the man who died, and we hope the injured driver recovers fully.
