Georgetown, DE (June 21, 2026) – Two other people were injured, and a 52-year-old Lincoln man lost his life in a three-vehicle crash on Old Furnace Road near Georgetown.
The accident happened around Rementer Road at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Friday, June 19. Findings indicate a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on Old Furnace Road while a Toyota Sienna and a Nissan Rogue were traveling westbound.
Investigators reported that the Chevrolet crossed the centerline for reasons under investigation, sideswiped the Toyota, then continued into the westbound lane and collided head-on with the Nissan. The Silverado’s driver, a 52-year-old man from Lincoln, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
The Toyota driver, a 50-year-old Georgetown woman, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The Nissan driver, a 33-year-old man from Seaford, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment. This is a developing story.
