Manheim Twp, PA (January 21, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident with entrapment on the westbound side of PA-283 at PA-72 in Manheim Township on January 21. The crash left one individual temporarily trapped inside a vehicle before being successfully extricated by responding fire crews.
Personnel from local EMS and fire departments arrived swiftly and worked to free the trapped occupant. Once extricated, the patient was turned over to EMS for medical evaluation and care. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed, though the individual was conscious when removed from the vehicle.
The roadway was partially impacted during the emergency response, with traffic delays reported in the area while crews worked to secure the scene and provide care.
Authorities have not yet released the cause of the accident, and an investigation is underway to determine the contributing factors.
