Frequently Asked Questions
Why is distracted driving so dangerous?
Taking eyes or attention off the road for even a few seconds reduces a driver's ability to react to sudden hazards, such as a vehicle slowing or turning ahead. This is true at intersections and rural road crossings alike.
How do weather and road conditions contribute to crashes?
Wet pavement, poor visibility, or uneven shoulders can make it harder to stop in time or stay in a lane, especially at higher-speed rural intersections like the one involved here.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Marysville, CA
After a crash, getting checked by a medical provider is worth doing even if injuries seem minor at first, since some symptoms take hours to appear. Keep copies of any police report and medical records in case they're needed later. If your vehicle needs towing or storage, confirm with the responding agency which company handled the removal and where the vehicle was taken. Reach out to your insurance company promptly to begin documenting the incident while details are still fresh.
