Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do right after a car accident?
Move to a safe spot if possible, call 911, and exchange information with the other driver. Even if injuries seem minor, it's wise to get checked by a medical professional, since some injuries don't show symptoms right away.
Where do most traffic crashes happen?
Many collisions occur on rural or semi-rural roads like Forty Mile Road, where higher speeds and limited lighting can shorten reaction time. Intersections and driveway crossings are also common crash points.
What injuries are most common in these crashes?
Whiplash, cuts from broken glass, and bruising from seatbelts or airbags are frequent in two-vehicle collisions. More serious crashes can cause fractures or head injuries, which is why evaluation at the scene matters even when someone feels fine.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Marysville, CA
If you're involved in a crash in Marysville, stay calm and check yourself and any passengers for injuries before stepping out, if it's safe to do so. Call for emergency help right away and wait for responders in a secure location away from traffic. Take photos of the vehicles and surroundings if you're able, and get the contact and insurance information of everyone involved. Even after a minor-injury crash, follow up with a doctor in the days afterward, since adrenaline can mask pain from soft-tissue or joint injuries until later.
