Hopkinsville, KY (July 7, 2026) – Fourteen people were hurt on Sunday afternoon, July 5, after a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 24 West near mile marker 91. The accident was reported shortly before 4:00 p.m.
The wreck involved a semi-truck and at least three other vehicles. Emergency units first received reports that as many as five people were hurt, but the medical response was later increased after the total rose to 14.
All injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. The interstate was closed in both directions while crews worked to clear the road. Investigators are still reviewing the sequence of the crash.
