The accident occurred at approximately 4:37 p.m. on January 19 along the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near the intersection with N Germantown Pkwy. Emergency medical services and fire crews from Memphis Fire and Rescue arrived swiftly, working to assist those suffering from injuries at the scene. At least one person received treatment, though the total number of injured individuals has not been confirmed.
