Metairie, LA (January 28, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic accident with injuries at the intersection of West Esplanade Ave and Power Blvd early on Wednesday morning. The crash, reported around 5:00 a.m., involved two vehicles and caused significant roadway disruption due to debris and lane blockage.
Dispatch confirmed that a white Nissan van and a blue Toyota sedan collided near Zone 1749, with both vehicles left facing toward the interstate following the impact. The crash resulted in blocked lanes and scattered debris, prompting immediate response from Unit 178 and other local emergency personnel.
