Highway Safety and Truck-Involved Crashes
Crashes involving large commercial vehicles can result in serious injuries due to the size and weight of tractor-trailers. Drivers are encouraged to maintain safe following distances, remain vigilant when passing or merging near trucks, and reduce speed in areas of congestion or limited visibility.
Emergency responders rely on motorists to move over or slow down when approaching crash scenes, helping ensure the safety of both crash victims and personnel working on the roadway.
