MIDLOTHIAN, Ellis County, Texas, Sept. 27, 2026 — A motorcycle collision Sunday, September 27, in the 3500 block of Mountain View Drive left at least one person dead and sent a second patient to a hospital by helicopter, according to radio traffic monitored from the scene. Midlothian fire and police units responded along with a CareFlite helicopter.
Midlothian Fire Engine 3, Medic 3, Truck 1 and Battalion 1 responded to the crash alongside Midlothian police. A fatality was reported on scene.
A CareFlite helicopter was launched to airlift a second patient from the collision, landing at a nearby church at FM 875 and FM 663 rather than at the scene itself.
Authorities continue investigating the crash. We are deeply sorry for the loss suffered by the victim's family.
