Frequently Asked Questions
Does speed change how serious a crash turns out to be?
Yes. Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force involved in a collision, which tends to mean more serious injuries and more vehicle damage.
Why is distracted driving considered especially risky at intersections?
Intersections require constant attention to cross traffic, signals, and turning vehicles. Even a few seconds of distraction can mean missing a stopped car or a changing light.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Millsboro, DE
If you're involved in a crash in Millsboro, start by getting yourself and any passengers to safety and calling for emergency help. Even if you feel fine, adrenaline can mask injuries like whiplash or internal bruising, so a medical check in the hours afterward is a good idea. Keep a copy of the police or fire incident report for your records, and follow up with your insurance company once you've had a chance to assess the damage and any injuries. Giving yourself time to recover, physically and otherwise, matters as much as handling the paperwork.
