Milton, NH (March 2, 2026) – Four people were taken to the hospital Friday night, February 27, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 75, Nutes Road, and Governors Road in Milton.
Police said officers responded around 8:46 p.m. and found a red Toyota Tacoma and a white Volkswagen Tiguan involved in the collision. Investigators determined the Tacoma was traveling on Governors Road and failed to stop at a posted stop sign before entering the intersection.
The Tacoma then struck the Tiguan. The driver of the Volkswagen and three juvenile passengers were transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Tacoma was not hospitalized and is facing pending charges.
Emergency units closed the area while crews assisted those involved and cleared the roadway. The crash remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with those injured as they continue to recover.
Why Do Stop Sign Violations Lead to Serious Intersection Crashes?
Intersections controlled by stop signs rely on drivers yielding the right of way before entering. When a vehicle fails to stop, cross traffic may not have enough time to react.
Side-impact crashes are common in these situations. The side of a vehicle offers less protection than the front or rear, which can increase the chance of injury.
Three-road intersections can add complexity because drivers must monitor traffic from multiple directions. Clear signage, visibility, and careful driving all help reduce the risk of collisions at these junctions.
