San Diego County, CA (September 11, 2026) – At least one person was injured on Thursday morning, September 10, in a head-on collision on Woods Valley Road near Valley Center. It happened around 8:45 a.m. Woods Valley Road is a winding, rural route in the San Diego County backcountry.
A black BMW and a gray sedan were involved, according to initial reports. Both vehicles ended up off the roadway.
The road was blocked until tow trucks arrived, and fire crews assisted with the response. The roadway had reopened by around 9:45 a.m. The injuries were reported as minor.
