Why Single-Vehicle Tree Accidents Can Be Fatal
Single-vehicle tree accidents can be extremely dangerous because trees do not move or absorb force the way another vehicle might. When a car leaves the road and hits a fixed object, the force can transfer directly into the front or side of the vehicle. This can cause severe trauma to the people inside.
Early morning crashes may involve lower light, changing traffic levels, or reduced visibility. Investigators may review road design, vehicle path, speed, weather, lighting, and any marks left on the pavement or shoulder. Vehicle damage and final resting position can also help explain how the accident happened. In fatal cases, medical findings may provide more information about the type and severity of injuries involved.
