Sullivan, MO (September 11, 2026) – A mother and her 1-year-old child were hurt after a car crashed into a detached apartment on Wednesday in Sullivan. The vehicle left Maple Street while attempting to turn onto North Mansion Street before crossing a yard and chain-link fence.
The car then struck the apartment where the mother was feeding her child in the kitchen. The child was in a highchair when the collision pushed the chair into a garage space, while debris struck the mother and briefly pinned her against a wall.
Both the mother and child were taken to a hospital and were not seriously hurt. The driver, Almeda Pisarsky, faces two second-degree assault charges and one first-degree property damage charge. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
