Joplin, MO (July 29, 2026) – Two people riding a motorcycle were hurt on Monday, July 27, after a two-vehicle collision on MO 43 in Joplin. The accident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. in Jasper County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2020 Kia Sedona failed to yield inside a roundabout and struck an eastbound 2024 Kawasaki Ninja. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was removed by a private party, while the minivan received minor damage and was driven from the roadway.
The 21-year-old man operating the motorcycle and a 19-year-old woman riding as a passenger both sustained moderate injuries. They were taken by private party to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for treatment. The 37-year-old woman driving the Kia was wearing a seat belt, and no injuries were listed for her.
