Edison, NJ (September 9, 2026) – A 31-year-old Metuchen motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with an SUV outside Menlo Park Mall at 55 Parsonage Road on Monday, September 7.
Police said the SUV driver was attempting a left turn on a yellow light when the motorcycle and SUV came together.
The rider remained in critical condition following the accident.
Police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the roadway contact. We hope the injured motorcyclist has a swift and full recovery.
Left-Turn Conflicts Can Be Especially Dangerous for Motorcyclists
A driver turning left must judge the speed and distance of traffic approaching from the opposite direction. Motorcycles can be harder to judge because their smaller profile may make them appear farther away or slower than they actually are.
