Fairfax, IA (August 8, 2026) – A 49-year-old Fairfax man was hurt on Thursday evening after his motorcycle crashed at an intersection in Fairfax.
The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. as the man was riding a silver Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Williams Boulevard. According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, he lost control while traveling through the intersection with Beverly Road, causing the motorcycle to go down in the roadway.
The rider was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Deputies cited him for driving while barred and failure to prove security against liability.
Linn County Sheriff Rescue, Fairfax Fire Department, and Area Ambulance responded to the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
