West Albany Twp, MN (July 14, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon, July 12, on Highway 60 at County Road 13 in West Albany Township, Wabasha County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2005 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI was traveling west on Highway 60 when it collided with an eastbound 2021 Ford F-150 at about 1:59 p.m. The roadway was reported to be dry at the time of the collision.
The motorcycle rider, Robert Wayne Thompson, 68, of Mabel, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Lake City Hospital for treatment. Investigators noted that he was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the pickup, John Steven Kingsley, 64, of Zumbro Falls, and his passenger, Jeannie Elizabeth Kingsley, 65, were not injured. Alcohol was not suspected as a factor for either driver. The cause of the crash continues to be investigated as additional information is reviewed.
