San Diego, CA (August 6, 2026) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run along southbound I-15 near Friars Road on August 6, prompting emergency units to assist the rider and search for the suspected vehicle.
According to CHP dispatch information, the crash involved a motorcycle and a white Audi. A witness later told investigators that the rider identified a white Hyundai Elantra, bearing California license plate 8XVP907, as the suspected vehicle before it left the roadway. The motorcycle reportedly came to rest down an embankment, while the rider was found in the center divider.
Tow services were requested to recover the damaged motorcycle, which was believed to be in a nearby canyon. Initial reports did not release the rider’s identity or provide details about the extent of the person’s injuries.
