Why Motorcycle Collisions Can Lead to Severe Outcomes
Motorcycle crashes can result in serious injuries because riders have limited protection compared to people inside passenger vehicles. Without a vehicle frame surrounding them, motorcyclists are more exposed to the force of an impact and may be thrown from the motorcycle during a collision.
Intersections and turning movements can create additional risks when vehicles and motorcycles share the roadway. Factors such as visibility, traffic patterns, roadway design, and driver awareness may affect how these accidents occur. Reviewing the circumstances of a collision helps provide a clearer picture of the events leading up to the incident.
