Indianapolis, IN (August 11, 2026) – A motorcyclist died in a crash with an SUV near Georgetown Road and Oakforge Drive on Indy’s northwest side Sunday night, August 9, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers responded around 8:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV’s driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Northbound Georgetown Road was expected to remain closed for an extended period, with drivers directed to alternate routes such as Guion Road. Our condolences go out to the motorcyclist’s family and loved ones.
