Austin, TX (July 29, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed after a hit-and-run crash on the northbound TX-130 Toll near Decker Lake Rd early on Tuesday morning. The accident happened at approximately 5:10 a.m. in Travis County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a silver Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north when the rear tire blew out, causing the rider to lose control and fall onto the roadway. A white SUV then struck the rider and initially left the scene before the driver later returned.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was also struck by a Tesla operating in Autopilot mode. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:29 a.m. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released pending notification of the family.
