Fort Wayne, IN (June 28, 2026) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash involving a car on Friday, June 26, near the intersection of Hessen Cassel Road and East Maple Grove Avenue in Fort Wayne.
The police said speed may have been a factor in the crash. The motorcycle rider was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Due to the severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries, additional crash investigators were requested to assist with the investigation. Drivers were advised to avoid Hessen Cassel Road between Paulding Road and McKinnie Avenue while the scene was being reviewed.
