Mount Vernon, VA (March 14, 2026) – One man died, and another was injured following a crash in the Mount Vernon area of Fairfax County, according to authorities.
Officials with the Fairfax County Police Department said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and Patton Boulevard in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found two drivers suffering from injuries. Authorities said both men were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police reported that one of the drivers, an adult male, was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. The second driver, also an adult male, was hospitalized and is expected to survive. Officials have not yet released the identities of the individuals involved. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Fairfax County Police Department.
