Tipton, IN (June 29, 2026) – Officials responded to the area of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries early on Saturday morning, June 27, on US 31 near 500 North in Tipton County.
Emergency units responded to the scene shortly before 2:00 a.m. following reports of a disabled vehicle in the northbound lanes. According to available information, the incident involved a rear-end collision involving multiple vehicles. One vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a nearby field. At least one person was injured, and emergency crews provided medical assistance at the scene.
A person involved in the crash was reportedly taken into custody after a preliminary breath test showed a result of 0.153. Additional details about the person’s identity and the extent of injuries have not been released.
