Why Multi-Intersection Crashes Require Coordinated Response
Crashes at major intersections often require coordination between multiple emergency units due to traffic volume and roadway complexity. When several routes converge, vehicles may enter the intersection from different directions at the same time.
Investigators typically review timing, driver movement, and intersection design when analyzing these collisions. Even when injuries are not immediately severe, transport decisions are made quickly to ensure proper medical evaluation.
Busy highway junctions can also slow response times due to congestion, making traffic control an important part of scene management.
