New Orleans, LA (January 10, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Friday evening to a rollover crash involving a 74-year-old woman on Canal St in New Orleans. The incident occurred around 6:47 p.m., prompting a trauma activation and transport to University Medical Center.
According to New Orleans EMS, the woman was the restrained driver of the vehicle and remained conscious and alert throughout the incident. Her Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score was 15, indicating full responsiveness. Despite the severity of the rollover, she did not lose consciousness and showed no signs of internal bleeding based on field assessment.
She was treated at the scene for pain in her right hip and received a microdose of fentanyl for pain management. Vital signs during transport remained stable, and her condition was not considered life-threatening.
The cause of the rollover remains under investigation, and authorities have not released additional details about contributing factors or whether other vehicles were involved.
