What Investigators Review After a Fatal House Fire
After a house fire, investigators typically begin by examining where the fire started and how it spread through the structure. Burn patterns, heat damage, and remaining debris can help determine the origin point. Weather conditions and electrical systems are also reviewed as possible contributing factors.
Officials may also speak with witnesses and examine emergency response timelines. In fatal fires, identifying safety hazards inside the home can be an important part of the process. These steps help establish whether the fire was accidental or involved other circumstances.
