NEWFANE, Niagara County, N.Y., Sept. 28, 2026 — Six people were reportedly hurt Sunday afternoon, September 27, in a two-vehicle crash on Hess Road that may have trapped at least one occupant, according to the Miller Hose Fire Company. One vehicle was reported smoking after the crash, and airbags reportedly deployed in at least one car.
Crews responded to the 3200 block of Hess Road for what was dispatched as a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment involving two vehicles. The fire company's initial report listed as many as six patients.
Extrication tools may have been needed to free at least one person from a vehicle.
