What to Do After a Car Accident in Norwalk, CA
If you're involved in a crash on a freeway shoulder or travel lane, turn on hazard lights and stay in the vehicle if it's unsafe to exit into traffic. Call 911 and give your exact location, including nearby mile markers or cross streets. Once you're safe, get a medical check even if you feel fine, since adrenaline can mask pain from soft-tissue or internal injuries. Keep a copy of the CHP incident report and photograph vehicle damage and the surrounding scene if you're able.
