OCALA, Marion County, Fla., Sept. 24, 2026 — One person was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert on Tuesday morning, September 22, after a two-vehicle crash that included a rollover in Marion County, according to Marion County Fire Rescue.
The crash happened at the intersection of Southwest 66th Street and Southwest 140th Avenue, fire officials said. Dispatchers received the call at 7:13 a.m.
Crews from Meadowood Farms Station 12 arrived about nine minutes later and found one vehicle overturned on its roof and a second vehicle off the roadway, according to the fire department. Firefighters carried out a brief extrication to free a trapped patient at 7:25 a.m. That person was then transported to a local trauma center.
Additional units from Ray Lloyd Jr. Station 31, Friendship Station 21 and Rainbow Springs Station 22 responded to help at the scene. Paramedics checked other people involved in the crash, and those patients declined transport to a hospital, fire rescue said.
The cause of the crash has not been released and remains under investigation.
